The Black Swans Of Trespass
The BLACK SWANS of TRESPASS play forbidden banjo music. The band is the vehicle in which Australian banjo iconoclast CC THORNLEY breaks all the rules about banjo.
Focusing on the electric banjo, CC bends and twists genres. With bass, drums and soaring fiddle melodies, the BSoT play music you would least expect to hear on banjo, in a way you would least expect a banjo to play it.
Funky, soulful, with a swampy, punky edge and rich Mento/Jamaican core, the BSoT takes to the stage with charisma and defiance. They will make you dance, love and rebel.
McNaMarr Project combine the powerhouse voices of multi-award winning blues artists John McNamara and Andrea Marr.
With a mutual love of soulful blues they bring a sound evocative of old school soul, blues and gospel with their great original material. Formed in May 2018, the duo immediately went on the Australian Blues festival circuit and proceeded to WIN the Solo/Duo Blues Performer Of The Year Award in September 2018, which sends them to Memphis TN to represent Australian Blues at the International Blues Challenge; Andrea's third time representing Australian blues and John's second. John McNamara's 2017 release "Rolling With It" garnered 3 Australian Blues Award Nominations and won "Song Of The Year", hit #1 on the Contemporary Blues Singles Charts in the US and #1 on the Amrap Singles Chart earning rave reviews worldwide.
Andrea Marr's 2017 release "Natural" hit #1 on the Australian Blues and Roots Charts in October and November 2017, then went on to hit #1 on the US Roots Music Report Soul charts in January & February 2018 and #1 on the US Roots Music Report R&B Charts in January & February 2018. The album was nominated for 4 Australian Blues Music Awards and received rave reviews internationally.
The flamboyant, entertaining and popular Dreamboogie, Rebecca and the boys have featured at past Gellibrand River Blues and Blueberry Festivals and amazed the crowds with their talent and showmanship.
Dreamboogie have won the 2015 Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society (MBAS) Blues Challenge!
Judged the highest scoring act at the Final held in Melbourne on 18th October 2015, the band have now secured their place to represent the MBAS and compete at the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis TN USA
Rhythm X Revival
Soulful harmonies, infectious melodies, hypnotic electric guitar licks and an animated rhythm section underpin Rhythm X Revival as an energetic Australian rocking country blues band.
A mutual passion for songwriting banded John-Luke Shelley (lead guitar/vocals) and Johnny Tesoriero (drums/vocals) together to release their nine-track debut self-titled album in April 2018, recorded at The Teskey Brothers’ studio in Melbourne, with Ben Wicks on bass. The album peaked at #4 on the Australian Blues chart and was also nominated for The Age Music Victoria Awards in the Best Blues Album.
A cohesive unit backed by Jeremy Neumann (keys) and Chris Rourke (bass/vocals), Rhythm X Revival’s chemistry creates music that has inspired a global audience. Rhythm X Revival performed at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee this year.
‘This fast-paced electric-drenched blues, is fun-filled, energy-packed and keeps you guessing’ as quoted by The Rockpit.
